Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, the biggest smartphone yet from Samsung, will be available in the United Kingdom at a price of $667, without a mobile subscription.

Equipped with a dual core processor and 720p display, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and the first version to become available is the version that comes with 16 GB of internal storage space.

The new Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will come with a 8 MP camera on the back, 1.9 MP on the front, 1.5 GB of RAM memory as well as LTE support.

The Galaxy Mega 6.3 will also be compatible with the NFC technology and storage space can be extended by using microSD memory cards.

Those who expected a bigger Galaxy S IV will be disappointed with the technical specifications of the Galaxy Mega, however we most not forget that Samsung also has the Galaxy Note device on the high end segment of the market.

The South Korean giant did some benchmark tests and the company even tested the Intel Atom processor.

The tests were made under codename “Samsung Santos 103″ with a processor that runs from 800 MHz to 1.6 GHz, while the graphics is being handled by a PowerVR 533 GPU.

The performance obtained by the tablet that might be the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 is really impressive.

The performance of the new Samsung tablet was also confirmed by Antutu tests and the difference compared to the Galaxy Tab 2 is impressive. The processors used during testing seem to belong to the Intel Clover Trail+ family.

It may sound pretty weird that Samsung might use Intel processors for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 tablet because the Exynos processors have provided pretty good results so far.

If Samsung decides to use the Intel technology the reason might be the excellent performance and Samsung’s wish of not staying behind the competition on the tablets market.

Besides the huge 3200 x 1800 pixels resolution, the display created by Samsung has a pixel density of 276 ppi, bigger than the Retina Display, which has a pixel density of 227 ppi.

The qHD display from Samsung has a size of 13,3” and it even outranks the pixel density of the Chromebook Pixel ( 239 ppi ). Besides the 3200 x 1800 pixels resolution, the new Samsung display eats up 30% less energy than the current generation of LCD displays.

At this time Samsung has not announced how many devices will arrive with the new display, but 3200 x 1800 laptops are getting very close to arrive in stores.

The laptops that will come with the new Samsung display will break the record currently held by the Toshiba Kirabook, which comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

The Galaxy S IV is a spectacular device. Many of the features the device comes with are however possible because of a smart combination between software and hardware.

Because the Galaxy S III is not a weak smartphone, the phone will also get some of the Galaxy S IV features with the release of the Android 4.2.2 update.

Samsung will release the new firmware update in the next few days, or maybe in the next few weeks,. The new update has many of the Galaxy S IV features, even through it comes without a new baseband version.

Samsung announced that developers interested in attending the Smart App Challenge 2013 need to develop an application using the Samsung Chord SDK kit.

Samsung Chord SDK is an interface through which you can make a direct wireless connection between two Samsung smartphones without needing a service or a mobile operator.

The peer to peer technology is presented to users as Group Play, a sharing service that allows users to play multiplayer games or share music and photos.

The apps will be assessed by Samsung based on multiple aspects including: uniqueness, commercial potential and design.

You can join the contest anytime between June 20 – August 31, and the jury will deliberate until November.

Besides using the Chord interface, the participants must also sell the app through the Samsung Apps store.

Samsung will grant ten prizes. The first prize is $200,000. Three developers will fight for the second prize which is $100,000 each and $50,000 will be paid to six developers who manage to get the third place.

Although this is not the first time when we get information about the Acer Iconia W3 tablet, the Windows 8 tablet was now listed by Acer along with some technical specifications and a photo.

The Acer Iconia W3 tablet packs an Intel Atom Z2769 tablet and 2 GB of RAM memory. The tablet also comes with a 8.1” display, 1280 x 768 pixels resolution and 64 GB of internal storage space.

Acer Iconia W3, the first 8” tablet to come with Windows 8 also includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. The battery of the tablet provides you with 8 hours of autonomy, which is pretty decent.

Acer Iconia W3 also comes with micro-HDMI and micro-USB and you also get microSD support.

At this time Acer has not revealed the release date of the tablet nor it’s price.

The speculations have gotten bigger by the fact that the current MacBook Air has started to disappear from the inventory of retailers from the United States.

Analysts expect a new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro generation with Intel Haswell processors to be released by Apple this year and it seems that Apple will present the new MacBook Air at the WWDC 2013 conference.

There are many rumors about the new MacBook Air and the most popular rumor says that it will come with the famous Retina Display. Some market analysts believe however that the new MacBook Air will not come with a better resolution.

They think Apple won’t implement the Retina Display because of the high costs associated with this move but also because it will also affect the autonomy of the battery.

However, a theme called Apple Web OS is giving you this experience. The theme is built based on the tiles implemented in the Windows Phone operating system, is looks very much like the Apple website and what is interesting is that everything can be personalized for you.

There are 54 tiles throughout the theme, many of them being automatically generated for apps, the native apps interface is modified and the LockScreen has a different face.

The technological demo from Nvidia brings a hard to match realism when it comes to rendering the human face. It was made public in the last few days and if you have a pretty advanced computer you can benefit from the realism that amazed many, from game developers to simple viewers of the Game Developers Conference of this year.

The demo comes with a series of parameters to adjust the skin rendering in order to see the effects of the light. The facial details are extremely realistic and they can be noticed in a series of common expressions.

After a long wait, the complete Instagram experience is now available for Windows Phone 8. It doesn’t even matter that the app is not official and the name is a little bit shady. We’re talking about the Itsdagram app.

The idea for a device to come with an operating system optimized for tablets and hybrid devices is now new. However, what is unusual is when a device comes with three operating systems.

Python S3, a tablet built by Ekoore, comes with the Ubuntu, Android and Windows 8 operating systems.

The models of the new family of storage devices have storage capacities of 500 GB, 1 Tb, they come with new data protection features, USB 3.0 connection.

Western Digital also said that in the third quarter of this year the company will also release a product with a storage capacity of 2 TB, however the price has not been revealed yet.

The transfer speeds of data through USB 3.0 is three times faster than data transferred through USB 2.0 according to Western Digital, and power is done also through USB so you don’t need additional cables.

Size wise only the thickness of the 500 GB model has been specified: 12,8 mm.

The series of portable WD My Passport Ultra devices have a warranty of three years and the price recommended by Western Digital is $99,99 for the 500 GB model and $129,99 for the 1 TB model.

Well, the company produced an operation system that was initially called Jolla OS, then the name was changed to Sailfish and now a teaser was posted on the internet that promises a release on May 20.

We are talking about the first to come with the Sailfish operating system and the expectations are high especially since everybody is expecting to see a descendant of the Nokia N9.

You might be wondering why we’ve mentioned the N9. Well, we did it because the team behind the Sailfish operating system is the same team that worked on the MeeGo operating system and we are sure that there will be some similarities between the two.

As you can see in the video teaser, the idea is “the other half”, which means an operating system that completes the hardware platform. Sailfish is based on Mer, an open source platform for smartphones, tablets and other devices, that is at the core of the MeeGo platform.

Sailfish has already received support for ST Ericsson NovaThor chipsets and we know that it will come with a fluid multitasking system which allows users to run apps directly on the homescreen.

Well, more details will surely become available in a few days, on the 20th, but until then you can watch the video teaser below.

The photos were leaked on the web by the CNMO website, and you can see an Android smartphone with a 5 inch display. The design is similar to the design of the Sony Xperia ZL, with a plastic cover on the back.

The Sony Xperia UL will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, the same solution used by the Galaxy S IV and HTC One flagships.

The Sony Xperia UL also packs 2 GB of RAM memory, 32 GB of internal memory, 2,300 mAh battery and we can basically say that it is similar to the Sony Honami, however with weaker tech specs.

About the Sony Honami we know that it will come with Snapdragon 800, 20 MP camera, 2,700 mAh battery and a 5 inches Full HD display.

The new Hangouts app reunites your Google+ Messenger discussions, your Google Talk chats and the video calls done through the Google+ Hangouts feature.

Announced during the Google I/O 2013 conference, the Hangouts app is trying to offer you for Android what Apple offers on iOS through Facetime and iMessage.

Dori Storbeck, the Community Manager for Hangouts and Chat at Google confirmed that pretty soon the new app will also allow you to make phone calls and send text messages on mobile devices.

All this will be done to provide users with a centralized communication experience.

Without the need of sending text messages or access databases, the new application requires some permissions when you install it. Basically, this behavior can be interpreted as integrating the inactive feature of sending text messages.

All that remains is for Google to choose the best time to activate that component of the app.

Because of the way Apple prevents third party apps to send messages and initiate phone calls on an iPhone, there are chances for this feature to only exist on Android devices.

On iOS, Hangouts will only be a centralized method to take advantage of interaction with Google services.

Even if you can also get it with the Windows 8 operating system in the United States, the new ASUS 1015E laptop has a different target and it was created for a different type of users.

A new IDC study created in partnership with App Annie confirmed a phenomenon that took place in the first quarter of 2013. The money spent on buying iOS games outranked the investments made on buying games for Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita portable gaming consoles.

With more than one billion users, Google Maps is the most popular service of it’s kind and the new interface brings a better functionality. Street View and Google Earth are better integrated in Google Maps now.

The new Google social app will be available for Android and iOS, but also online, to make it easier for you to talk to your friends. You can use the app to send text messages, photos and videos, and Google promises to make the service even better in the future.

Gmail becomes the simplest way to transfer money through the Google Wallet service. With a simple email, users can send money from the Wallet or from any credit card. The service will be released in a few months only in the United States, at the beginning.

Because Google wants to provide you on Android with a similar feature as the iOS Game Center, the Mountain View giant has been working on a new gaming system that includes advanced social features.

Soon, your progress in games will be saved in the cloud and you ca resume your game from any Android device.

Google also presented a music streaming service that costs you $10 / month, a service called “All Access” however the service is only available in the United States at this time.

The biggest surprise so far at the Google I/O conference was the special Samsung Galaxy S IV edition. The phone will come out in June and it runs on the clean Android version, just like the Google Nexus smartphones and tablets.

ZTE Grand X2 packs the powerful Intel Atom Z2580 processor at 2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM memory and 8 GB of internal storage space.

The display of the new ZTE Grand X2 smartphone has a size of 4.5 inches and it has HD resolution at 1280 x 720 pixels.

ZTE Grand X2 packs a main 8 MP camera which can record 1080p videos. The camera also has rapid-shot features and can capture 24 frames per second without lag. The 2,000 mAh battery is pretty powerful and can provide decent autonomy.

The ZTE Grand X2 runs on Android Jelly Bean operating system and, basically, it is the successor of the Grand X model, the first ZTE smartphone to come with an Intel processor for mobile devices.

ZTE Grand X2 will arrive in Europe, however ZTE has not announced the price of the phone nor the precise release date.

The South Korean giant announced that in just two weeks since the commercial release the company sold no less than six million Samsung Galaxy S IV smartphones.

The Galaxy S IV sales in the first two weeks are greater than the sales of the previous model, the Galaxy S III, which was sold in 3 million units in the first 21 days since it’s arrival in stores.

According to GSMArena, most Samsung Galaxy S IV sales took place in the first days after it arrives in stores.

precisely, Samsung sold no less than four million Galaxy S IV units in the first four days.

Samsung says that the company’s target is to sell 10 million Galaxy S IV units in the first month.

The CES 2013 presentation has transformed Nvidia Shield into one of the most anticipated devices of this year.

The new Nvidia Shield gaming console will arrive on the market at a price of $349. The console runs on Android 4.2.1 version of the operating system built by Google.

Besides compatibility with Google Play Store applications, the Nvidia Shield console can also be used to play PC games when connected to a computer through Wi-Fi.

Nvidia Shield packs the Tegra 4 1.9 GHz platform, 2 GB of RAM memory, 5 inch touchscreen at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

Nvidia Shield comes with 16 GB of storage space which can be increased by adding microSD memory cards. Nvidia Shield also offers mini-HDMI support, micro-USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 3.0.

The console also includes speakers and has GPS support.

Tami Reller, the CMO and CFO of the Microsoft Windows division said that the highly anticipated Windows Blue update will be offered for free to those who purchased Windows 8 and Windows RT licenses.

Also, the update also received an official name: Windows 8.1.

According to Tami Reller, who made the announcement during a conference that took place in Boston, Windows 8.1 will be initially available in RTM version ( Release to Manufacturing ) by the end of August and the final version will arrive for users by the end of October of this year.

This is the MobileSubstrate for iOS which was ported for Android along with the Winterboard application, and a similar Cydia app is available in the Google Play Store.

Saurik has been working on this project for years. The project is now finalized and it provides tweak and app developers with the possibility of getting even more users by porting iOS tweaks for Android or by developing new ones.

Although developers will most likely be happy with saurik’s new project, iOS users might be affected. Why ? Because now developers have to build apps for two different platforms, and the development process can be very time consuming.

It’s not easy to build apps for iOS, but when you can also do it for Android, an operating system installed on different devices, with many incompatibilities and issues, things can get really complicated and end users will also be affected.

Basically, developers will spent more time building apps and this may delay the release of some tweaks and applications.

It is a known fact that Android users do not pay for apps and they prefer to pirate it, the same happens with iOS users, however on a smaller scale. The good news is that there are many Android hackers who built different types of tweaks and Cydia will be just another store that provides tweaks, and this is a good thing.

Only time will tell how many developers will choose to build apps for iOS and also for Android. However, considering that the iOS jailbreak is a goldmine for many developers, maybe the release of the Cydia Substrate will be motivation to release more jailbreak solutions in the next few years.

Besides the transformation of BBM into a cross-platform instant messaging service, Thorstein Heins also announced a new mainstream smartphone that will target emerging markets.

Rumored for a few weeks now, the new Blackberry Q5 is a smartphone with a physical keyboard that seems to have the same built as the keyboard of the Blackberry Curve and it runs on the new Blackberry 10 operating system.

Although it has a few design similarities as the new Blackberry Q10, it is obvious that the Q5 is not a high end device.

The Blackberry Q5 will b available in white, black, red and pink. Heins has not provided us with details about the technical specifications of the new smartphone however from what we saw during the presentation we can guess that the body is made out of plastic, including the keyboard.

The screen seems to have the same size as the display of the Blackberry Q10, 3.1”.

If we look at the keyboard structure we can reach the conclusion that, most likely, the Blackberry Q5 will integrate a high quality touchscreen, just like the Blackberry Z10 or Blackberry Q10.

The new Blackberry Q5 smartphone should arrive on the market in June or August of this year. At this time we don’t know the price of the new Blackberry phone.

The new Sims 4 is being developed by Maxis studio, the company that launched the The Sims concept and developed the first two titles of the game.

The main fear shared amongst gamers that The Sims 4 requires constant internet access has been shattered by Electronic Arts as the publisher confirmed the offline single player module of the game.

Electronic Arts has not provided too many details about The Sims 4 but claims that the game will offer players a surprising and pleasant story.

The Sims 4 will encourage gamers to personalize the world they create by using intuitive tools and they can also share what they have built on social networks.

Many fans of The Sims franchise were present when The Sims 4 was announced and they talked to the team behind the new title. EA Games claims that the development of the new game will be based on recommendations made by fans from all over the world.

So far The Sims 4 was only confirmed for PC and Mac and the release will take place on 2014. EA Games has not mentioned a precise release date and has not confirmed whether the game will also be available for other gaming platforms such as the Xbox or PlayStation gaming consoles.

According to rumors, The Sims 4 will come with improved graphics, new elements and new challenging things for gamers.

The Nvidia Tegra 4 platform has been announced at the Consumers Electronics Show 2013 in Las Vegas.

Nvidia Tegra 4 is a quad core ARM Cortex A15 processor at 1.9 GHz, which also includes a fifth low frequency core used to run routine tasks and improve the battery autonomy.

The platform also includes 72 GPU cores capable of rendering 3200 x 2000 pixels content on a Ultra HD dispay.

There also is the Nvidia Tegra 4i platform based on the SoC principle with 4 ARM Cortex A9 cores and 60 GPU cores capable of rendering 1920 x 1200 pixels content.

Some of the possible devices that will come with the Nvidia Tegra 4 platform are: the HP SlateBook 10 X2 10 inch tablet, HP Slate 21 AIO, a top smartphone from ZTE, Toshiba AT10LE-A and the Project Shield gaming console from Nvidia.

The Nvidia Tegra 4 platform seems to be a fierce rival for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 platform.

We are talking about the Sony Xperia S39H, which you can see in the photos below, photos that were recently leaked on the Internet.

In the Xperia chain, this device seems to be placed right above the Xperia L device, thanks to the 4.3” display.

In the photos we can see that the Sony Xperia S39H has a dedicated camera button and the same power button that we have seen on the latest Xperia smartphones.

Also, it seems that Sony has two ways of naming the company’s devices.

Firstly, there is the CXXXX structure for devices released in 2013 and the second, applied in China, is the S/M/L structure that refers to small / medium / large devices.

Basically, we can say that the Sony Xperia S39H enters the second category and we don’t know about how attractive this phone is considering that it is made entirely out of plastic.

Many users are asking Apple to implement a new suite of features in iWork suite, a suite that is supposed to replace the Microsoft Office on Mac computers.

Although apple has not suggested that the new iWork suite for Mac OS X or iOS is ready to be launched, Apple is looking to hire talented engineers to build and implement new features, and a recent job offer suggests that Apple is planning to build something pretty nice.

Apple is currently looking to hire three QA software engineers, a Product Specialist, a Technician Production Ninja, a Verification Engineer, a Visual Motion Designer, and a specialists to develop high resolution images.

Basically Apple needs a team of people to continue the development of the iWork office suite and based on what we know so far we might believe that there is no other team over at Apple currently working on the iWork suite.

Even so, there is a slight chance for an important iWork update to be rolled out this year or at the beginning of next year.

The hackers from Evad3rs explained that the exploits used by their untethered jailbreak solution were blocked and that the exploits they still have are not worth sacrificing to come up with a jailbreak solution for an iOS version that is not very important.

Despite these warnings it seems that some are trying to take advantage of users and they claim they have jailbreak solutions for iOS 6.1.3.

Sony is going to release an unusual graphic tablet, a tablet that has the dimensions of a sheet of paper.

The tablet, which comes with the e-Ink technology that we can find on most e-Readers, has a 13,3 inches display and a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels.

At this time, the Sony e-Ink tablet is still a prototype and the end product will target college students.

The tablet has a thickness of only 6.8 mm and a weight of only 385 grams. The tablet will also come with 4 GB of internal storage and support for microSD memory cards so you can increase the storage.

The tablet also has Wi-Fi support. The new Sony e-Ink tablet is currently being tested by some universities from Japan and the commercial release of the tablet will take place by the end of this year or at the beginning of next year.

At that time, the software version of the HTC One was 1.29.401.12 and now it seems that HTC will roll out a new update for the flagship.

We are talking about Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which comes with some new additions. The first innovation that comes with the new update is one that involves the apps that require the Menu button. You probably know that on the HTC One a virtual button appeared in the lower region of the phone.

Bloomberg discovered this last week and the agency also said that Pegatron supplier is seriously affected by this drop.

It is interesting to see a single Apple product affecting the revenue of a big hardware manufacturer. It’s true that Jason Cheng, the CEO of Pegatron, denied everything, but the sales drop of the iPad Mini is confirmed by multiple sources.

One reason might be the fact that starting this week the new Nexus 7 will arrive on the market and Apple will release the iPad Mini 2 with Retina Display in just a few months.

Information about drops also comes from Foxconn and Sharp, so analysts and investors have started to worry about Apple. We don’t know how things will change with the release of the iOS 7 operating system next month.

Apple needs to release a new device and the company has to do it soon because in the fall it might be too late. And we’re not saying this because Apple does not build good products but because Apple’s rivals are starting to build much better devices.

According to Samsung, the future 5G networks will allow users to reach internet browsing speeds of up to 10 Gbps ( or even more ), 100 times bigger than the current speeds of 4G LTE networks that, in theory, can provide up to 100 Mbps.

Considering that the world is barely just starting to adopt the 4G LTE technology, Samsung announced that the new standard will be ready for implementation only in 2020.

At this time Samsung managed to do some tests that reached speeds of up to 1 Gbps, however the speeds will increase as the technology will evolve.

Although right now such speed seems useless for browsing the Internet using mobile devices, by 2020 such speeds will probably be required considering how fast the Internet and digital content is evolving.

Unfortunately, we have some bad news for many of you, especially if your Apple device is more than 2 years old.

It is almost a sure thing that the iPhone 3GS will not be compatible with the iOS 7 operating system, especially since the 3GS model was released almost four years ago. It was pretty surprising that it was compatible with the iOS 6 version.

We don’t know for sure whether the iPod Touch 4G and the iPad 2 will be compatible with the iOS 7. If Apple releases the iPod Touch 6G this year, than we can safely assume that the iPod Touch 4G will never be compatible with iOS 7, however if Apple does not release a new iPod, then the iPod 4G will probably be able to run the new iOS operating system.

Things get a bit more complicated when talking about iPad tablets because, at this time, the iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4 and iPad Mini are compatible with the iOS 6 operating system.

Apple has four iPhone models running on iOS 6 and 4 iPad models, and this year will probably rule out some of the older models in favor of some new ones.

When it comes to the iPhone things are already clear and in case of iPad tablets the situation might be similar. Considering that the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 will be released on the market, it will be less likely for the iPad 2 to be compatible with the iOS 7, although the tablet was released on the market 2 years ago.

With the fall of this year there will be 5 iPad tablets compatible with iOS 7 and making the iPad 2 compatible with iOS 7 will not determine consumers to buy the new iPad.

Everything above might not happen, however if you own an Apple device older than two years there is a chance of it not being compatible with the new iOS 7 operating system.

Windows 8 will not run too soon in space, and the 15 years NASA has spent being loyal to Microsoft have now ended.

The International Space Station ( ISS ) currently on the Earth’s orbit at a height of approximately 400 km, has the support from the Linux Foundation to make it easier to switch from Windows.

Besides laptops, Linux will also be installed on Robonaut 2, a robot that has been used until now by NASA and will arrive with an upgrade on the International Space Station by the end of this year.

The reason for the switch from Windows to Linux seems to be the fact that Windows 8 has been dealing with a lot of problems lately.

Google’s interest is not only limited to creating a revolutionary device. Let’s not forget that one of the main reasons why Google purchased Motorola Mobility was the high number of patents that came with the company, patents that Google finds very valuable, and useful.

So, what do we know about the Motorola X Phone so far ?

Software

Everybody talks about the Motorola X Phone with the Android 5 operating system and the most recent rumors suggest that the OS will be officially presented by Google during the I/O conference which will debut in just a few days.

Unfortunately, Google will not present the Android 5.0. Instead, the company will release the Android 4.3 version – Jelly Bean – update.

Hardware

Most speculations point to the fact that the Motorola X Phone will pack a quad core 1.7 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM memory, 32 GB of internal storage and it will come with a 16 MP camera.

Design

So far the rumors about the design coincide with the screen of the phone: 4.7 inches, Full HD resolution and it seems that the dimensions will be: 131.2 x 66.7 x 7.9mm.

That’s all we know about the Motorola X Phone smartphone so far but we do hope that Google will provide us with more clues at the Google I/O Conference later this month.

Well the event in New Delhi was about the release of a new member of the Asha family. We are talking about the Nokia Asha 510 phone, which you can see in the photo below.

The Nokia Asha 501 is a budget smartphone created for emerging markets. Asha 501 is part of a new series of the Asha family, one that comes with more features compared to previous versions.

The innovations of the new models are borrowed from Smarterphone, a company Nokia purchased last year.

Nokia Asha 501 packs a new touch interface, divided in two sections. One section includes a traditional icon list and the other is known as Fastlane and it is basically a list of features used often, preferred contacts, social networks and the apps you use on a regular basis.

The Nokia Asha 501 comes also with dual-SIM support but it does not have 3G. Nokia installed the Express browser, which compresses data up to 90%.

Nokia Asha 501 packs a 3 inches LCD display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, 3.2 MP camera, 1.200 mAh battery, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and FM Radio.  The battery of the Asha 501 promises 17 hours talking time and 56 hours of audio playback.

Nokia Asha 501 also comes with microSD support. The price of the Asha 501 is $99, without a mobile subscription.

This makes us think that LG will release the new generation LG Optimus G device, quite possibly the LG Optimus G2.

But, before getting too excited, there is also the option for LG to release the Optimus GK device we’ve recently seen in photos leaked on the Internet.

This is basically a version of the LG Optimus G with a 5” display, Full HD resolution, Snapdragon 600 quad core processor at a speed of 1.7 GHz.

The Optimus GK also includes a battery with a capacity of 3,100 mAh, 13 MP camera and internal storage of 16 GB.

Android Jelly Bean will power this smartphone and before thinking about the LG Optimus G2 you should know that some rumors suggest that Optimus G2 will only be released by the end of the summer.

Frankly, we would be very happy to see LG release the Optimus G2 on May 30, 2013 because, by all accounts, it will come with a revolutionary design, volume buttons on the back and a ultra-thin case.

The update also brings a new design and it focuses on map content and not on navigation buttons.

It seems that the update will take us towards the direction of the iPhone and iPad interface. Integration with Google+ assumes that we get the option to see results that match the recommendations of your Circle friends.

A while ago we also heard that even the Google search engine will be influenced by the search results of your friends, displayed as suggestions when you make searches while logged in to your Google+ account.

The new Google Maps app will most likely come with the new Android version ( Lime Pie or Android 4.3 ). We also expect to get a new Gmail app, new YouTube app and, according to rumors, Google will improve it’s entire suite of mobile apps.

Blackberry released the update just in time for the arrival of the Blackberry Q10 smartphone on international markets. The Q10 is already available in Canada.

The Blackberry 10.1 update brings a better speed of the camera, HDR feature, and Pin to Pin via Blackberry Hub messaging. Other changes were made on the interface, but they are minimal. At this time the Blackberry 10.1 update is available in Middle East countries and it was also confirmed in the Philippines. This means that by the middle of May of this year we’re going to see the Blackberry 10.1 update in Europe too.

The new Blackberry update also gives you the option of editing APN, transform highlights in green text and not blue, and the sharing menu is now a menu just like on the Blackberry Q10.

Blackberry also made changes to the Blackberry World, which now allows you to open installed apps directly from the store.

The most recent smartphone from Alcatel, the One Touch Idol Ultra, was officially released and by all accounts it will contribute to Alcatel’s commercial success.

The One Touch Idol is one of the thinnest smartphones ever released on the market. With a thickness of only 6.45 mm and with a hardware platform that makes it the Alcatel flagship phone, the Idol Ultra does not compete with other top smartphones from Samsung or HTC, however it may be a commercial success because it is available at a very affordable price: 265 Eur.

For this price you will get a smartphone with a dual core Cortex A9 processor at 1.2 GHz, PowerVR SGX531T graphic processor, 1 GB of RAM memory, 16 GB of internal storage space.

The display of the Alcatel smartphone is a 4.7 inches AMOLED 720p. One Touch Idol Ultra also comes with a camera on the back that packs a 8 MP sensor, capable of recording Full HD videos.

The Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra was already released in Asia and it will arrive internationally very soon.

The new Sharp Aquos 206SH however has a special attraction: a powerful battery. The Sharp smartphone thus promises that you only have to charge it once every two days.

Tablet sales promise to increase a lot of even outrank PC sales entirely. Even so, there are some voices that claim that tablets are just a spark that will fade away quickly.
