We are already aware that an iPad Mini will be revealed by Apple on 23 October, but according to a leaked SKU, it has been found today that Apple could produce as many as 24 different iPad models. The list was obtained by 9to5Mac and it is now available on the website.
According to 9to5Mac, four models of the iPad are listed with the names P101, P103, P105 and P107. These models have further variants which the website claims are ‘Good’, ‘Better’ and ‘Best’. 9to5Mac is reporting that these variants could denote the storage capacities of each variant.
Furthermore each model has a mark with ‘A’ and ‘B’. This according to the website signifies the color of the device. Presumably, the iPad mini will be available in White and Black editions. When all models are combined together, it comes down to 24 different variants of the device.
This leaked SKU is the second iPad Mini SKU that has been leaked this week. The first SKU was released from Germany which showed a list of prices that would be for the new device.
According to these SKU’s it is possible that we might see variants to include Wi-Fi and also variants which will not only have Wi-Fi but also cellular support on the device. This latest reveal could possibly mean that iPad is planning both Wi-Fi and cellular options. No wonder the list of new models is big.
But since nothing is confirmed yet, it could also mean that one of these variants could be a newer version of the classic non mini iPad. It could be the iPad 3 which has been time again rumored to make an appearance this year. The new iPad is also expected to have the lightning connector that was released with iPhone 5.
