Apple’s mega event that will be revealing the new and smaller version of iPad is nearly here and the rumors have started coming in strong. According to a new list acquired by 9to5Mac, the iPad Mini will retail for $329 in the U.S.
Not much is still known about the new tablet besides that Apple will be producing 24 different variants o the device. These different variants will have different storage space, colors and additional features like Wi-Fi only, Wi-Fi plus 3G and Wi-Fi plus 4G LTE.
9to5Mac has reported that it is pretty sure that the new iPad Mini will retail somewhere between $329 – $399. The pricing of other iPad Mini variants will be determined after the price of the entry level variant. The price of the tablet still sounds very high if compared to other 7 inch tablets from Google and Amazon. But it will be quite interesting to see what Apple has to offer with its new iPad Mini device.
According to other rumors, the new iPad Mini will have a 7.85 inches screen and will not have the popular Retina display. It will be based on the parts that were used in iPad 2, but because of its small size, it is expected to be highly mobile and light.
The iPad Mini is expected to debut on Tuesday during Apple’s keynote. Apple will most likely also reveal new devices such as the new MacBook Pro 13 with Retina display and a retooled edition of the New iPad, most commonly known as the third generation iPad.
