The fall of 2012 came on pretty strong on the mobile phone.
We had the IFA Berlin 2012 event, where Samsung and Sony announced some new and exciting smartphones. This event was followed by an event hosted by Nokia and Motorola on September 5 and on day later Amazon also presented the new family of Kindle tablets.
Apple is up to something big on September 12 ( many are convinced that Apple will present the iPhone 5 smartphone at that time – we’ll just have to wait and see ).
HTC is also alive and kicking and on September 19 HTC will present some new products and the company already sent out media invitations.
The Taiwanese company will surely present some new tablets and smartphones. The partnership with Microsoft is abut Windows Phone 8 smartphones.
HTC refused to build Windows RT tablets ( the Windows 8 version for ARM processors ) because the company said it doesn’t have enough experience on this segment of the market ). This was a bad movie for HTC in our opinion.
We remind you that when Windows Phone 7 was released, HTC and Microsoft had a fruitful partnership and HTC presented the most models.
But it was rumored that this whole thing was a behind the counter deal and thus HTC managed to solve some debts the company had to Microsoft.
However, rumor has it that HTC will present at least three Windows Phone 8 smartphones but we don’t know yet if these phones will be released at the same time or gradually.
These phones were rumored on the internet these last few months and we know them as HTC Accord ( HTC 8X ), HTC 8S and HTC 8V. Allegedly, the first one will be the new HTC flagship phone, the second phone will target mid-range consumers and the third one will target the entry-level segment of the smartphones market.
