• The new iPhone 5 is the thinnest smartphone of the world, according to Apple.
• The iPhone 5 measures up to 7.6 mm in thickness
• In terms of thickness, it is 18 percent less than its predecessor, the iPhone 4S
• The weight of the phone is 112 grams
• The weight makes the phone 20 percent lighter than its predecessor, the iPhone 4S.
• In terms of width, the phone is exactly the same as the iPhone 4S

Display

• The iPhone 5 has an elongated display.
• The display screen of the new phone is 4 inches in size.
• As compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 5 is 0.5 inch taller.
• The phone features Retina Display
• On the display front, the iPhone 5 boasts a resolution of 1136 x 640 screen resolution accompanied by a 16:9 aspect ratio.

• The iPhone 5 has an 8 megapixel camera boasting a resolution of 3264 x 2448

• The 16 GB version of the phone will cost $199
• The 32 GB version of the phone will cost $299
• The 64 GB version of the phone will cost $399

Availability

Users can pre-order the iPhone 5 from September 14. The phone will start shipping on September 21. The phone will also become available in over 100 countries globally by the end of 2012.
