What They Have in Common

All these three smartphones pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor at 1.5 GHZ, 1 GB of RAM memory, Windows Phone 8 operating system and the same Adreno 225 graphic processing unit.

The experience of these three smartphones should be the same. However the differences occur because of the design of these phones, display and photo / video cameras.

What Is Different

Display

The 4.3 inch S-LCD2 versus the 4.5 IPS display and 4.8 inch Super AMOLED display.

The most disappointing seems to be the HTC which includes a display that won’t make a good impression. Nokia might impress users. The company proved that it knows how to calibrate a display in the past when Nokia added the Nokia ClearBlack technology on the displays and made them better than Samsung.

Samsung decided to integrate the Super AMOLED display. This display is not very impressive quality wise but it does a pretty good job.

Samsung ATIV S has the biggest display from the three, while HTC 8X has a display similar to some Android entry-level phones.

The HTC 8X might attract users who do not like a big display on their phones.

Storage space

16 GB + microSD of up to 32 GB, 32 GB on the Nokia 920 and no microSD support, 16 GB / 32 GB on the Samsung + microSD Support. ATIV S seems to be the best one from the list.

Photo / Video Camera

Nokia caused many waves with a fake Lumia 920 advertising, but the phone provides the richest photo options from the three.

The frontal photo sensor on the ATIV S seems to be the same one that was also used on the Samsung Galaxy S3 and it is not bad at all.

Battery

As the display gets bigger so does the capacity of the battery and Samsung seems to have the biggest battery: 2.300 mAh.

Conclusion

We know that it’s a bit too early but we feel that Samsung and Nokia did their homework right. HTC is a bit disappointing but maybe the company wanted to be able to provide more affordable prices or maybe they have a different marketing strategy, who knows.

One thing is for sure: these three phones will be the top of the line of Windows Phone 8 smartphones.
