Blizzard has just revealed that World of Warcraft has suffered a huge subscription loss during this year. The subscription base has fallen by nearly 1 million in the past year which is a huge blow to the game in some way. While the giant is busy getting the newest expansion ready, there are other MMOs you should also keep an eye out for.
Guild Wars 2:
Guild Wars made a name for itself when it was released because of the way it allowed people to interact. This open world MMORPG was designed slightly different from the typical MMO formula. It allowed players to do their own private adventuring in the huge world of the game. The second game will follow the standards of the first all the while bringing a bigger and better world with new classes and characters.
Transformers: Universe
Transformers have always been my favorite since childhood. Hearing about a game that would have tons and tons of bots fighting each other in a huge immersive world really got me excited for the game. Unfortunately, since its announcement, not much has been shown about the game. The only thing to know about the game is that it will be based on browsers. So I’m not expecting it to be hugely fun, but if you are a fan of the franchise, you may want to check it out.
End of Nations:
End of Nations should grab the interest of both RPG players and Strategy lovers. The game is hoping to blend both the genres together in a seamless world where thousands of players can battle each other in a top down strategy fashion. End of Nations is ready to enter its second beta and if you are even slightly interested in RTS / RPGs, check it out.
Neverwinter:
This one is coming from Perfect World, a company known to produce games based on free to play routine. While I’m not expecting much from the game, I am still going to check it out because of the fact that Cryptic Studios purchased the developer, so there is definitely going to be something about it to check.
