Rajan Zed, a Hindu statesman, is still upset over SMITE, a free to play MOBA and its developer, Hi-Rez Studios, as they didn’t remove the Hindu Gods from the title including goddess Kali, who the statesman thinks looks like a porn star.

The whole row between Rajan and the studio started on Wednesday, when Hi-Rez Studios got a call from Zed to remove Agni, Kali and Vamana from SMITE. All three are Hindu goddesses.

However, Todd Harris, the Chief Operating Officer of Hi-Rez Studios said that for them, Hinduism is shown as an inspiration translated through the presence goddesses in SMITE, along with different mythologies from other cultures including Greek, Norse, Egyptians and Chinese.

Instead of removing the Hindu goddesses from the title as per Zed’s request, the game added another new character from a Chinese origin, Guan Yu.

The CEO of the company said characters will not be dropped from the game but will rather be added in the PC title.

The news about adding more characters and goddesses in the game hasn’t been met positively by Zed, who has said that the entire Hindu community is upset over the game’s portrayal of their worshipped goddesses in the game.

Zed not only thinks that the portrayal of the goddesses is wrong in the game but the way they have been portrayed is also incorrect. Zed said that Kali looks like a porn star in the version of the game that was shown on the company’s site.

He also said that Kali’s appearance and the fact that she looks like a porn star in the game has distressed Hindus.

On the other hand, Hi-Rez, which is an individual Atlanta game developer, said that the game will not add figures from other major religions in the world because they don’t bring anything interesting to the gameplay.
