WWE 13’ is gearing up for its release later this year but the details have mostly been scarce on how the game would be. Thankfully, THQ has broken the silence and has shown a demo to the critics. We had a chance to play the game for ourselves and see how it is shaping up.
WWE 13’ picks a lot from its immediate predecessor WWE 12, but we are glad things don’t just end there. THQ is doing a great job with bringing nearly all the best bits about the franchise into a single game. Yes that’s correct, we saw a lot of mechanics picked from other classic titles.
THQ is bringing the attitude era to the game. This special match system recreates some of the best matches in the entire history of WWE. For example, the hell in a cell match between The Undertaker and Mankind which blew us apart in 1998 is right here in the game.
With the help of the new spectacular moment’s system, you can easy perform the same moves from the actual match. You can perform high end moves on top of the cell to bring down the entire roof of the cell. Talk about living the classic moments. The spectacular moment’s system creates some of the best match effects I have ever seen in a WWE game.
THQ is bringing back the special referee mode. This mode has been absence from WWE games from a long time now and it feels great to have it back in action. Thanks to this mode, now we can have some really great and funny moments when we play with our friends or family.
One of the best bits about the game is the upgrade to the game engine and how a match works. WWE 13 is bringing in dynamic cameras and making a lot of changes to the Predator system which was introduced in WWE 12.
With so many things being improved, we are hoping to see one of the best WWE games coming after years. The demo didn’t have much but whatever saw blew us away. Here are a couple of new screen shots that you can check out.
