Yesterday we informed you about the accidental reveal of Battlefield 4. For those who did catch up last night’s story: EA accidently placed a banner on Origin Medal Of Honor: Warfighter listing page that indicated by preordering the game, one could secure access to Battlefield 4 exclusive Beta.
When the world found out that this had happened, no one could stop but ask the official Battlefield source itself. The twitter page of the game was stormed with fans and critics asking about the possible production of Battlefield 4.
The twitter page of Battlefield immediately responded by saying that if the announcement of a possible sequel is ever made, it would be on the official website of the game. Today, the official twitter page of the game has deliberately removed the message placed yesterday.
The message posted today brings with it a huge hint at the sequel. Battlefield page now says that maybe one day the game will come instead of completely denying the fact. This definitely means that either Battlefield 4 is in production or its news of existence is about to pop up.
Other people also believe that the whole event was to create a rumor that would take people minds off over news that would disturb Battlefield fans. Apparently may have tried to shield the news of David Goldfarb resigning from the company.
Goldfarb was the lead designer behind Battlefield 3 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Both the games have achieved exceptional success in the industry. With the lead designer gone, people were a bit doubtful and worried about the future of Battlefield games.
Some critics believe that in order to avoid the reaction of people, the idea of placing a banner about Battlefield 4 beta was a good one. It certainly did take away many people by surprise and the news of Goldfarb is long forgotten by now.
As of now the banner on Origins has been removed but the fact that the company changed its twitter post with a slight hint of the game coming someday, we are definitely guessing news on the game sometime later this year.
