During the San Diego Comic Con 2012, Assassins Creed Creative Director Alex Hutchinson confirmed that there will be no multiplayer beta for Assassins Creed III.

Although Ubisoft has not officially confirmed the statement but Hutchinson sounded very convincing. According to him, the team is trying to fit in as much as they can into the new game, so for the players it is unfortunate that the developers will not be able to release a Multiplayer beta.

As a tradition, Ubisoft has always kept multiplayer betas exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The multiplayer entered the Assassins Creed franchise through Assassins Creed II: Brotherhood and has been a part of one more game after that.

According to release traditions, Ubisoft released multiplayer betas for both Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Revelations just before a month of their release. A lot of gamers who have enjoyed the multiplayer of Assassins Creed may be disappointed by hearing such news.

Usually a beta of the game benefits the company a lot because many people can easily download and test out the game before they can buy and even give feedback to the company to improve stuff in the final release.

With no Assassins Creed III multiplayer beta, the game’s multiplayer mode might suffer a blow because of no feedback from the players in solving the issues.

Assassins Creed returns later this year with the third major installment in the series. The game is based in the American Revolution era and will feature historic characters from the time period. You will take feet of a brand new young assassin who will become a major part of the American Revolution.

In addition to Assassins Creed III, Ubisoft is also developing a brand new PlayStation Vita only Assassins Creed which will feature the franchise first female assassin. According to the developers, Assassins Creed III: Liberations will be complete experience of the Assassins Creed games on the portable console.

Both the games are scheduled to come out later this year with PlayStation 3 receiving exclusive bonuses if a consumer also buys the Vita game.
