Tomorrow, “The Ville” will be released by Zynga and it is the next installment in the Ville series of games that includes FarmVille, CastleVille, and CityVille. From the looks of it, the game gets its inspiration from The Sims and not in a minor way.
However, the game is Zynga’s most realistic and users will be able to build their dream home. Next come the parties. Then the S-E-X. That’s right, this game will let you have virtual sex in your new home.
David Gray, an executive producer at Zynga, says you can invite your friends over to your new home. Then, if you want to, you can start to interact with them.
The more that you interact romantically, the more capabilities you unlock. Eventually, you’ll be able to unlock what Gray calls, ‘the happiness home run” or “whoopee.”
When you and another character “get it on,” the clothes start coming off (although not completely) and the bed becomes covered in little cute floating hearts. Then, almost as quickly as it started, it’s over.
There’s something missing in The Ville, though. You don’t have to worry about having kids and there’s no way to get married. Certainly that will draw the ire of pro-family groups.
There is also no age restriction for the game and Zynga says that since you must login to Facebook to play, they will use Facebook’s age restriction policy. However, we all know that Facebook has millions of accounts for kids under the age of 13 – just under different dates of birth.
This game comes across as more of a dating app than anything else Zynga has released so far. After having virtual sex with someone, you can click over and see their Facebook profile.
Of course, the big part of the announcement about The Ville’s release is that it’s really a matchmaking type platform. According to Gray, the hope is that new users will play these games with people they know and enjoy playing games with.
Gray says that the matchmaking system isn’t ready to use yet, but that users will eventually be able to opt-in to it sometime in the future.
