Since the release of the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game, the developers have never dared to change the formula of the shooter. Each year a COD game is released with the same formula of the previous games, and although gamers welcome the yearly COD game, a lot of them have actually grown tired of it. If you are one of those people who have grown tired of the same COD experience, Treyarch has heard you and has promised a new kind of experience with Black Ops 2.

Game director David Anthony sat down to say a few words about the new Call Of Duty game Black Ops 2. He admitted that Call of Duty formula is getting a bit too tedious for gamers to take. Hence the studios have finally decided to bring something new to the game. While the basic shooting mechanics remain the same, Anthony confirms there will something new for everyone.

The director started off with the setting of the game. Over the past few years, Call of Duty has always been about soldiers against other soldiers. Black Ops will change this forever by bringing in mechs and air to air combat.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 may be taking a different approach with the setting by bringing the game into future warfare, but is it enough to convince the gamers who left the franchise alone because of its repetitive nature? We saw the demonstration of the game during the E3 tradeshow, and by the looks of the new game, we were not satisfied with the changes.

To us it seems that only the setting has been changed. The game which was taking place in present warfare will now be in future. We were told of dog fights but still did not get to see anything that inspired us.

From the demonstration, it seems that Black Ops 2 will follow the same scripted mission style of other COD games. The only change we have seen so far is the setting and the ability to control air vehicles. How far will Treyarch actually go to bring in change? From what it looks like, there aren’t going to be a lot of changes in the new game.
