Bethesda announced Dawnguard earlier in the month and ever since then, it has been stuck in our heads. Previously, even though the developer had announced the game, it didn’t announce the release date of the game. However, now, it has been confirmed that the game will be released on a confirmed date.

The release dates of different batches of the game are as follows:

  • The 1st batch of DLC for The Elder Scrolls Vs Skyrim will debut as a timed exclusive for those who own an Xbox 360 only. The batch will be available on the Tuesday, the 26th of June.
  • For PC gamers and PlayStation 3 console holders, the game will debut 30 days after the game makes its way on Xbox 360 , which means the game will debut on PC and PlayStation 3 around the 24th of July.

26th of June is a familiar date as the same date was hinted by the director of the game, Todd Howard. Todd had hinted that June 26 is the targeted date in mind for the launch of Skyrim and alas, it has been confirmed as the actual release date of the game and is a not a rumor anymore.

The news was confirmed by Bethesda in a tweet, in which it wrote:

“Dawnguard will be out Tuesday for 360 in English. FIGS 1.6 patch for 360 coming next week and Dawnguard FIGS will be out mid July”.

(If you are trying to figure out what “FIGS” is, it stands for French, Italian, German and Spanish).

Fans will be ecstatic to find out that Bethesda has at last announced when the game will be making its way to different consoles. Even though the wait for PC and PS3 owners is a bit longer than Xbox 360 owners, you know now for sure when the game will be releasing and that is something big, considering how these days, some developers are delaying games while others are keeping the release dates of their anticipated titles a secret.
