One of the biggest safety issues people face with their expensive Smartphones is their durability. Manufacturers are producing sleek and elegant Smartphones on daily basis, but they forget to add in some durability to the fragile screens of their phones. If you have an iPhone, you probably care for it by encasing it in a leather case. Even if you do protect your iPhone, there are still chances that if you drop it, the screen may shatter. Things aren’t really good for other phones either, take for example Samsung’s latest flagship phone, the Galaxy S III.
Apparently, users from across the world have started complaining about the fragile nature of the new Samsung Galaxy S III. Several users have reported that even if the phone drops from ear level, upon hitting the ground its pretty much history. For a company these claims triggered an urge to test the two top phones out and see who could withstand the torture.
An electronics warranty fulfillment company recently tested the durability of both iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S III. The phones were put through three different real life situation tests. The first test consisted of dropping the phone from ear level height. The second test was tossing the device around quickly. The third and final test was to see if the phone could survive from falling on top of a speeding vehicle. Surprisingly, the results posted by the warranty fulfillment company revealed that although Samsung Galaxy S III could not survive any of the three tests, the iPhone at least survived one test.
The company reveals that the first test had broken down Samsung Galaxy S III. Its screen shattered with cracks all over while iPhone 4S withstood this torture with minor injuries. The second test left the Galaxy S III completely broken, while the iPhone suffered many injuries but was still able to work. Third test left Galaxy S III shattered and unable to start, while the iPhone 4S remarkably survived the test and was in a working condition. So next time you want a really elegant and beautiful handset, consider iPhone 4S for its durability.
