If you like collecting powerups and conducting insane stunts on bikes, Mad Riders is a game you will definitely want to pick up. This high speed bike racing game brings with it a lot of action in a tropical setting.
After playing several bike racing games, I was hell bent on trying this new game out. Here are the results of my time with the game.
Mad Racers is an entertaining game, especially because of the fact that it requires you to keep your balance steady while racing in high speed. I was completely impressed by the setting of the game.
The open ended maps which offer tons of short cuts also give a lot of things to look around should you choose to focus on the environments. The environments mostly consist of open ended areas will with green trees and a lot of mud and dirt.
Mad Riders decently grabs the attention of the player with its fast paced racing gameplay. Players will find themselves looking for powerups scattered throughout the racing track.
Using the powerups at the best time is the key to win a race in this game. Because the maps are large in nature, players will often need to take alternate routes to beat their foes.
These alternate routes are very tricky and need a lot of practice to master. If done correctly, these alternate paths, otherwise known as short cuts, can be a game breaker for others.
The visuals of Mad Riders could have been a little better than what they are right now. I am comparing the game with the recent racing entries on the same platform and I get the feeling that Mad Riders is based several years before these games.
The visuals suffer from pop up textures and less detailed environments. But due to the high speed action, these texture pop ups and low quality visuals can easily be forgiven.
Mad Riders is definitely a pick up for anyone who loves a racing game, especially for those who have enjoyed bike racers in the past. The gameplay has some minor issues but it still is a hell lot of fun.
