The world of Diablo III is about to get really interesting as today, Blizzard announced a small hotfix for their Patch 1.0.2 which will fix some bugs in the game. Additionally, the projected launch of the Real Money Auction House for June 14 is also shaping up pretty nicely. If you have logged on the server in the past few days, you have probably come across some server lag. This is due to some new security fixes that the developers are applying to the game that will ensure safety for anyone who uses the RMAH.
According to the official patch notes, version1.0.2c will fix the following:
Anyone getting the Error 37 will not face the issue anymore. Blizzard has confirmed that it is changing the way people log on to the servers. This new authenticating process will now replace the ‘login’ button with ‘wait’ grayed out button if the server is busy. This way, players will never face the error 37 issue.
Several players reported earlier that they had completed all the goals of an achievement but did not receive an update to their achievements board. Any lost achievements previously will now be granted back to the players.
The issue where players were experiencing crashes with the game by clicking on an item link has now been fixed.
Although RMAH is not a part of this small hotfix, Blizzard is still working in the background to implement the feature. According to the new Battle.net account user terms, Blizzard now requires every player who wishes to use the RMAH to install the blizzard authenticator.
Blizzard understands that for some the authenticator is not an option because it adds a step where a player needs to make an effort to log on, but in order to keep everyone safe from unauthorized auction house usage, the security feature is now a must have.
The current expected launch of RMAH is slated to arrive on June 14. Since people are still stuck in Inferno difficulty, it will be interesting to see how the RMAH will play a part in changing the world of Diablo III.
