Crystal Dynamics Has More Than Just Tomb Raider In The Works

Crystal Dynamics, the developer behind the fabled Tomb Raider series has confirmed that they are working on an entirely new IP. This new Intellectual Property is being called as a cutting edge new title from the developers.

A listing which recently appeared on the company’s website states that it is seeking an animation engineer to work with a professional team of programmers and animators on a cutting edge new IP. The listing has specifically mentioned that the individual will be working on a AAA third person action adventure title. The candidate must hold experience in 3D graphics and rending, A.I, Physics, Cameras, player systems and game tools.

The list also left us with some clues of the game coming exclusively to consoles. The listing mentions that the individual must have some sort of knowledge about console technology. The listing was also recently updated with a new requirement stating that the individual must have some knowledge of existing popular game tools and engines to edit current tools for the company.

Another listing has stated that the new game will probably use next generation animation systems. With Epic Games Unreal Engine 4 nearly ready, the developers could have gotten their hands on one, or perhaps they are working on their own new engine. This could mean that the game might be developed for next generation consoles only, or perhaps the developers meant to work with engines that are specifically designed for motion controls such as the Wii U.

Crystal Dynamics have not officially commented on the new listing. The developer is currently working day night to produce the reboot of its popular Tomb Raider series.

Tomb Raider, which is the reboot of the popular Tomb Raider series, will have players go through the origin story of Lara Croft. Players will be able to see and play through the life of Lara Croft in the beginning of her adventures. She is seen on an island full with wild life and cannibals. The still young Lara Croft has no experience of adventuring but surviving for her life will teach her a lot of things, hence make her the top class adventurer she is now.
