Crusader Kings II is getting upgraded with a new DLC. Paradox Interactive, the publisher behind the game recently revealed new details on the DLC that is named ‘Sword Of Islam’. The DLC allows players to play as popular Muslim leaders throughout the history. Sword of Islam has finally gotten itself a new trailer today which can be seen below.
Crusader Kings II: Sword Of Islam puts players in the feet of Muslim lords from different history eras. The new DLC is not a cosmetic change; it introduces a lot of new gameplay mechanics that reflect the religion itself.
Players will now have access to new Traits, Laws, Titles and Marriages. Everything that you have played from the original game has been changed to reflect the religion and its leaders.
Crusader Kings II is also receiving a huge patch from the developers that will fix a lot of issues that have been plaguing the game since launch. The patch and DLC are scheduled to be released on the same day.
The patch will also include brand new features expanding some of the game. These new features include a new plot, an expansion of the popular Mali-Songhay multiplayer map and expanded combat. Patch version 1.06 will be made available for both Mac and PC versions of the game.
Additionally, Sword of Islam DLC will go on sale for $9.99 and will be available to download from the official website of the video game.
The trailer of the game also gives us some hints on what to expect. According to the footage, players will be able to pick up any Muslim leader from history and rule a known empire.
New visuals that reflect the religion will also be introduced in the DLC. The major new change with the DLC is the enhanced combat which not only improves the combat of the game but also gives plenty of new features to the players. Players will also be able to take part in several new events and take decisions that will change the outcome of the story.
