Saying that an Android tablet is likely going to beat iPad may sound a bit too dramatic. However, well known technology company, Acer just aims to do that with its new Iconia Tab A 700.
This tablet includes a notable list of specifications that incorporates 1920 by 1200 resolution display and 32 GB of storage. The tablet is priced at $450 which is at least 25 percent less than the price of the Apple iPad.
Users can place their orders of the new tablet starting today but it is expected to start shipping later this month at retail stores and directly from Acer.
The Iconia Tab A 700 will be available in 2 colors, either silver or black. The company was one of the two Android tablet manufacturers to launch a full HD 1920 by 1200 pixel display previously in January 2012.
Furthermore, in February, Asus pursued its CES announcement of a full High Definition tab with a renamed variant at the Mobile World Congress but it has kept silent on United States availability.
Apple launched its 3rd generation iPad with a 2048 by 1536 pixel display; a move that successfully left android tablets in awful need of playing catch up.
he A 700’s 1920 by 1200 pixel resolution doesn’t quite match the pixel depth of the Apple iPad. However, it offers a considerably improved viewing experience over the current 1280 by 800 resolution tablets.
Nonetheless, the A 700 by far has the best display out of all the Android tablets which are currently available in the market
According to the company, the 16:10 aspect ratio display has a 178 degree viewing angle. Additionally, the display itself is a 10 point touch capacitive screen for enhanced receptiveness. The tablet will come with 32GB internal storage but users can add a microSD card if they want extra memory.
