Microsoft may have denied the existence of its next generation console but reports suggest otherwise. According to a close source to the company, Flextronics, based in Austin, Texas is reportedly working on a new Microsoft gadget. If we look at the pointers, it all points towards a new console. According to several other reports, the software giant has also assigned a complete new team of testers for the aforementioned assignment. This team is also secretly working behind the doors of the company.

The reason we believe that there is a new console in the production because Flextronics is the same company that helped produce the predecessor consoles Xbox and Xbox 360. So it isn’t hard for anyone to guess that when producing their new console, Microsoft would involve the company in some way. Another factor that excites us is that the fact that E3 is just on our doors.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo is the grand show where console manufacturers and software giants reveal their biggest announcements of the year. However, earlier this year, Microsoft had already officially announced and promised its fans that the new console will not be revealed during the E3 conference of Microsoft. But the company also did not say that it will not be revealed during this year, which means that if not at E3, the console may be revealed sometime later this year.

Even if Microsoft was to show the new Xbox at E3, it would be still in the beginning stages and would not really prove to be impressive. What the media and internet believes is that there is definitely something going behind doors at Flextronics, it could be that the company is developing prototype consoles for Microsoft.

Before any console is revealed to the public, every manufacturer sends out the development kit to the developers who will be working on games for the console. There have been reports of various developers that are already working on next generation consoles, which once again points towards the fact that there is indeed something going on in the background. We will have to wait till E3 to find out what this new gadget really is.
