The popular video game retailers GAME and Zawi.com have both listed Assassins Creed III in the PlayStation Vita section. A listing that appeared on GAME UK’s website (now removed) detailed that Assassins Creed III for Vita is set to be released later this year. However, Zawi.com still lists the game available for preorder on the Vita. Ubisoft confirmed that the third installment of its popular Assassins Creed franchise will be made available on different platforms including PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita and the new console from Nintendo dubbed the Wii U.

Additionally, both websites have also posted another popular title from Ubisoft, Ghost Recon: Final Mission, which will also appear on Vita later this year. This listing was also removed by GAME UK but is still available on Zawi.com. Ghost Recon: Final Mission is supposedly the third game based on the franchise which will appear in the industry this year. Ubisoft last week released Ghost Recon: Future Soldier on all home consoles and PC. According to the company, another Ghost Recon title is coming soon to PC and Wii that will have “online free to play” model.

There is currently no information available on Ghost Recon: Final Mission for Vita. Ubisoft has said nothing about it but speculation suggests that the upcoming E3 tradeshow might be the perfect stage for Sony to announce the title for their new portable console.

Ubisoft is pushing its Ghost Recon franchise to the limits. This year it plans to not only release three titles on different platforms but has also confirmed that it will be launching a specific network dedicated to Ghost Recon fans. This new service will be made available on mobile phones and PC browsers that will help fans interact with some of the game mechanics while they are on the go and not actually playing. Similar to Blizzard’s mobile armory for iPhone and Android, Ubisoft plans to give people access to the weapon customization utility through this application. Users will also be able to see leaderboards and share stuff with their friends.
