New DLC For Mass Effect 3 Now Available

Today, EA released a new DLC for its mega hit title Mass Effect 3. This DLC goes by the name Rebellion Pack and brings new characters and multiplayer maps to the game.

To show off the features of the new DLC map pack, EA also released a little preview video for the players. The DLC is currently listed as free content update for everyone that owns Mass Effect 3.

There are a total of two new multiplayer maps, new characters, new weapons and new equipment slot for players. The DLC can be downloaded from Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Origin for PC.

According to the official release notes, the DLC is currently available in North America only. The European version is slated to appear in the next day.

The two new maps available now are based on the Land on Firebase Jade, a unique location that is based inside a Salarian STG base. Players will also take on the fight to control the Goddess of Firebase Goddess on Thessia, the Asari home world.

A new mission based objective has been added that will randomly occur during the missions in the wave of 3, 6 and 10. According to the official details, the mission will ask players to retrieve a small package and escort it to an extraction zone as a priority.

The  six new unlockable characters that are now available for players to unlock are the Vorcha Soldier, ex-Cerberus Vanguard/Adept, Quarian Engineer or the Sentinel.

Additionally players will now have access to a new gear slot. This new slot will be added to the equipment screen that will allow player to carry more stuff to give them a strategic advantage over their enemies. New items have been added for the players to equip in these special gear slots. Items will offer upgrades like attribute and ability enhancements.

Finally, EA has also revealed that players will now have access to all new powerful weapons. The new weapons added are Reegar Carbine, Cerberus Harrier and the Krysae Sniper Rifle.
