Last week huge hits like Diablo III and Max Payne 3 were released, making it harder for any other game to make such an impact this week. But if you look closely at the release window of this week, you will find that some titles do have potential to score great sales. This week Ubisoft is ready to release its next installment for the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon and with them Capcom is set to release its new Intellectual Property, Dragons Dogma.
First let’s talk about Dragons Dogma from Capcom. The Japanese based developer is keen to bring us a revolutionary open world action RPG that combines a lot of popular gameplay features into one. Many critics are calling it a possible hidden hit of this year. Dragons Dogma combines fast paced action with a traditional JRPG style mechanics in a massive open world, much like Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. However, the game sets itself apart by introducing a new boss mechanic which allows players to climb over the massive bosses that will appear in the game. Climbing the boss will be an integral part of nearly all the boss fights because this would allow players to expose the weak points of the boss. It is a perfect combination between a lot of popular RPGs and is definitely worth a try.
Next in line is the infamous Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Ghost Recon has been quite popular amongst the fans and this new installment is no different. A lot of people have been waiting for this stealth based tactical shooter since the time it was announced. Ubisoft brings a host of new features like full Kinect and PlayStation Move support and a new weapon crafting system which will let players customize the weapons they use on the field. Once again the missions will have plenty of strategy and action packed with them. Ubisoft allows players to play cooperatively or go solo with computer controlled A.I.
Other releases this week will bring us games like Dirt Showdown, Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL, Men in Black and the awkwardly weird Lollipop Chainsaw.
