For those patiently waiting to get their hands on the next big Resident Evil game will finally find some relief during the summer. Capcom accidently revealed two major announcements that will take place during the Capcom Summer Jam, a yearly conference held in Japan. According to the official website of the Summer Jam, Capcom accidently posted two posters about Resident Evil 6 and Monster Hunter 4, clueing that these two will be the highlight of the conference.
The posters on the website since then have been removed, but we are quite sure that Capcom will not leave behind two of its major franchises alone during its major party. Earlier this month, the developer/publisher released its fast paced action-RPG Dragon’s Dogma. Anyone who purchased the game got an early access to Resident Evil 6 demo, which we predict will go live after the Summer Jam ends.
Additionally, excitement was at its highest level today when people saw a poster pointing towards a possible announcement of Monster Hunter 4. The franchise, which is not quite popular in the U.S, is actually a huge success in Japan. The game single handedly gave significant boost to the sales of Nintendo 3DS in Japan. Analysts predict that with an announcement of a new Monster Hunter game, Nintendo will be in high demand for some more time before Wii U takes over the stage.
The poster of Resident Evil 6 posted on the Capcom Summer Jam’s points toward first Japanese reveal. This could mean that Capcom is ready to show off more footage of the game or is even ready to let players finally get their hands on the game for the first time.
Resident Evil 6 brings back some of the most popular characters of the franchise together, including Chris Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy. Additionally, RE6 will bring back the cooperative gameplay mechanics of the previous installment and promises to bring some new characters into the main story of the game. A trailer released earlier this year gave a lot of hints on what to expect from the game.
