Bad news for the fans who have been waiting for one of the most anticipated game of this year as Irrational Games have just announced that Bioshock Infinite will not be released before 2013, delaying the original late end release date for the game this year.

Bioshock Infinite was originally scheduled to be released later this year in October. But a blog post on Irrational Games home page has changed that all.

The statement comes directly from Ken Levine, the lead designer of the video game. He told the fans that when they decided to launch the title in October 2012, it felt the right time. But after testing the game with the in house development team, the studio has decided that there are a lot of specific improvements and changes that are needed to make sure gamers get the best experience when they pick up the game.

Because of that, the company has now announced the new release date of the game which is February 2013.

Levine further pushed his statement by bringing in the issues the team faced when they developed the first Bioshock game. He revealed that if the company had rushed the game then, the players would have never known about the Big Daddies. The Big Daddies are an integral part of the game and are known and loved by the fans of the series.

Additionally, Levine has also announced that Bioshock Infinite will not be making any appearances during the major conferences that are happening this year, including E3 and Gamescom. Levin said that in order to surprise our fans with the best, they are going to reveal the next footage of the game when the studio feels that all the adjustments have been made properly.

The studio promises their fans that whenever the next time they see Bioshock Infinite, they would be surprised. And in order to live up to the hype the game has been creating, the developers need to make sure that the game is in its perfect form before it gets out in the wild. Several developers have opted the solution of delaying games to improve the quality and most of them have succeeded.
