A new report has revealed that Vice President of operations of Apple in the European zone, Africa and Middle East, Mr. Pascal Cagni has submitted his resignation and quit the company. The news about Pascal Cagni’s departure from the company was reported by a French newspaper but the newspaper didn’t give any additional details about Pascal’s resignation.

Many people are not known to Apple’s top executives controlling the multibillion dollar company’s operations in other parts of the globe. Pascal Cagni served Apple for more than a decade, as he joined the company back in 2000. Reportedly, the man was sought by the late Steve Jobs, who was then the Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Pascal Cagni had a huge role assigned to him, which was taking care of sales of the company across the globe. Pascal was responsible for the company’s sales of products in more than hundred different countries in the region.

Last year, the EMEA region reported sales worth 28 billion, when Pascal Cagni was heading the sales operations in full motion. He also launched the company’s retail stores throughout Europe.

There are other things that can also be accredited to Pascal Cagni, apart from being a great asset for Apple as the head of sales operations of the EMEA region. Pascal Cagni was reportedly involved in the development of several Apple products, including the App Store, iPhone and the iPod.

Before becoming a part of Apple in 2000, Pascal worked for Packard Bell Europe, as the VP of consumer products. However, he has also worked at Software Publishing Corporation and Compaq Computer in the past.

The French newspaper that published the report was Le Figaro. The news was originally reported in French and was later translated to English.
