The Samsung Brightside is a feature phone that has a decent slide out QWERTY keyboard and an average call quality. The only disappointing thing I came across when I was doing a review for the phone is that this one has a very low screen resolution. Other specifications also do not match the beef out there today. If slow performance and a low resolution bother you, this phone is probably not for you. However, if you are looking for a phone that offers decent features at an affordable price, you may want to check it out.
Before the smartphones took over the scene, we had feature phones which were once considered smartphones. Unlike a normal mobile phone, these had many added features that a user could take advantage of. With the smartphones now pretty much the standard, feature phones are just there for people who like simplicity. The Samsung Brightside offers simplicity at its best, you wont get access to fancy apps or anything, but it still manages to bring in stuff like social networking and voice dialing for an affordable price.
Design wise, the Samsung Brightside is a slide out phone. Sliding the phone reveals a keyboard which is the highlight of the phone. I have tried many slide-out keyboard based phones, but only few are comfortable to use. This phone excels at offering you comfort when it comes to typing. So for all busy typists out there who love sending text messages, this is a great phone for you because the QWERTY is really good. The keys are spacious, well laid out with every key giving excellent response. The only thing that holds back the phone is its specifications. Unfortunately, the screen resolution is so low that you may find trouble reading text on pages.
The Samsung Brightside also suffers many performance issues due to a slow processor. During the performance tests, I came across a lot of stutter and lag, which leaves to conclude that the performance is disappointing. If all you need to do is text your friends, the keyboard on the phone is great, and with some social networking features thrown in by default, this is a great phone for you.

I keep reading reviews where people say the processor is slow, but none of seem to state what the processor even is.
