If you like the design of an Apple Mac, you are definitely going to like what Asus has come up with. Building on the same design of Mac, the Asus E2700INTS is a desktop PC without any PC case.
Every component of the computer is installed behind the 27 inches screen. This boasts a great design on the front, but don’t let anyone see the back of the screen.
The back, unlike the Apple Mac, is constructed using plastic and feels a little cheap. It also houses a number of ports that can help you connect your peripherals. I ran some tests on the PC and here is my review for it.
The Asus E2700INTS back is primarily where all the components of the system are present. You will also find a compartment here covered with the help of a door that upon opening up reveals USB 3.0 ports and other ports that will get you this machine connected to other devices.
Coming to the screen, the Asus E2700INTS has a very decent LCD screen. It combines great colors and brightness/contrast ratio to give you an excellent display.
If that isn’t enough, the LCD is fully touch compatible and you can use it with Windows 8. The viewing angles are pretty average, if you are expecting the same quality that comes with a Mac, you will be slightly disappointed.
Inside the compartment of the Asus E2700INTS screen, a low power Intel Core i5 resides offering you decent performance.
This isn’t faster than the processor found in Mac, but it still manages to put in a decent performance. For storage, the machine offers 2TB of disc space and 6GB of RAM altogether with a nVidia based GeForce GT540M GPU.
The graphics processor will get some of the current gen games to run on the system, but don’t expect them to play in all glory. Overall, the machine is really good as a standalone entertainment hub. You can easily get one of these to blend into your living room.
