When the iPhone 4S smartphone and Siri were presented, Apple said that the new assistant will be available only on the last version of the iPone smartphone and things are not going to change in the near future.
Even so, Siri was one of the main reasons why many users purchased the iPhone 4S smartphone, but it was also the reason why hackers are trying to install it on older iPhone models.
If Siri is so interesting, why doesn’t Apple offer it as a paid update ? Well, because a iPhone 4S has a technology named EarSmart which was developed by Audience and was not implemented in other Apple devices.
The Audience technology was implemented in the iPhone 4 for the first time to reduce background noises and everything was working through a chip included in the iPhone 4 motherboard.
Because Apple wanted to reduce the production costs they decided to introduce the noise reduction technology directly in the A5 processor however this is not all as Audience significantly improved their technology.
We have the EarSmart technology in iPhone 4S which not only reduces the background noises when we talk on the phone but it also reduces the noises on a larger radius so that Siri can be used without being bothered by the noises around us.
Since the iPhone 4 does not have the same technology to reduce the background noises it’s clear that Apple does not have serious reasons to release a Siri version for them which will probably not please users. Even if for many the reason seems to be insignificant, for a company like Apple it’s a serious explication as to why Siri is only available on the iPhone 4S smartphone.
