Any applications developer for the iOS operating system from Apple who wants his apps to be popular in the Apple App Store, has to be well equipped to test the applications under any conditions.
In the image attached to this article you can see a “working bench” of a normal apps developer who tests applications on no less than 12 Apple devices running on 8 different iOS versions before the applications are added to the App Store.
A high diversity of Apple devices used for testing purposes guarantees the fact that an application will work well regardless of the iOS version a customer uses.
Unfortunately, not all iOS application developers afford to purchase so many Apple devices so, when an application that you purchased from the App Store generates errors you have to think that probably the application was not tested on many iOS versions and it was not probably tested on jailbroken Apple products.
