The New York Giants Celebrate the Super Bowl XLVI Win

February 9, 2012 by: 0

It is official. The New York Giants are the champions of the Super Bowl XLVI. A ticker tape parade has been arranged for them in Manhattan after yet another upset victory against a team that seemed full of beans before the contest. The team was presented with keys to the city as well as a full ceremony at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. It was all deserved after the hard work that they had to put in so as to get rid of The Patriots. Meanwhile their opponents are imploding with some rather undiplomatic commentary by a model.

Taking the Super Bowl prize in some style

Having listened to all the hype about Madonna and her halftime performance, we turned to the sort. In the beginning the Patriots seemed to have the lead with the help of Tom Brady. All this changed as they started to drop the ball and the New York Giants took full advantage of the unforced errors that were being committed by their opponents.  At 11am, the victory parade started in earnest at the Battery Place, a fitting location given the victory and its circumstances. The celebratory group moved up to the Canyon of Heroes and ended up on the Worth Street. They could not have chosen more appropriate names.

Amidst tons of blue and white confetti, the team was celebrating on account of their achievement. The defensive captain Justin Tuck was also in attendance. Tom Coughlin was breaming with excitement as the coach of the winning team. Even the mayor Michael Bloomberg was in attendance for this glorious event. The Lombardi Trophy was the reward for all their efforts in getting over the finishing line in a contest that was full of surprises and drama. The recriminations continue but the contest has been decisively settled.
