A lot of people are not fond of using DSLR’s for plenty of reasons, there is still a huge bunch of people who does. The reason why many people don’t like buying DSLR’s is that they are too expensive. Moreover, they are also not very portable but the biggest reason is that they are too expensive for starters or beginners. However, this doesn’t stop companies from launching new and attractive DSLR’s because there is still a big chunk of people who are looking to get them.
Nikon just uncovered and lifted off the cloth from its newest DSLR, the D800. Previously, many rumors suggested that the new camera will have 36.3 MP sensor on board and this has now been made official as the Nikon has also confirmed that the new camera will have the huge pixel sensor. However, there is a downside to the big pixel camera, which is that buyers will be required to have extra storage capacity with them and a huge memory card to carry the large files that the camera takes.
The camera was unveiled by the company in Tokyo on Tuesday. There are plenty of differences between the Nikon D800 and the other cameras but it is has the same vibe as the company’s recently released D4 flagship model.
By far, the most prominent feature of the new camera is its 36.3 CMOS sensor. There is also a 51 point AF system on board that offers 100 percent coverage in view finding at 0.7x magnification. You also have twin memory card slots for CF and SD card as well as a USB 3.0 port. Moreover, the camera is also available of recording videos in 1080p mode, which means it will record full HD movies and also 720p movies.
If you ask me, 36.3 MP pixel sensor is a lot to offer but one may ask if he or she really wants a camera with such a huge pixel sensor unless and until it is a requirement for him or her (for studies or profession) or one may buy the camera if they are really interested in photography, which many people are, so the unique selling point of D800 should get it additional numbers.
