Samsung’s new smartphone cum tablet phone has been under the watchful eye of many. The mobile device was the main star of Samsung’s first expensive NFL Super Bowl advertisement, which put a bow on, what some may call controversial, “The Next Big Thing Is Already Here” campaign which has been expressed by its unhopeful depiction of Apple fans and customers.

The new Samsung Galaxy Note commercial worth 90 seconds, going on the Super Bowl XLVI spot, was aired in the 4th quarter of the game and it gave a depiction of Apple users being happy to change to the new Samsung phone/cum tablet. The advertisement, which was ready to set The Darkness’s famous hit from 2003, “I Believe In A Thing Called Love”, has already generated hype on the internet and it is a new fire igniter between the two companies.

According to the 24/7 Wall Street, a financial blog, it has been estimated that the advertisement cost Samsung, the South Korean based company, $10.5 million in only air time and since the advertisement also included a member of the famous British band The Darkness, it would have definitely cost the company some extra, extra dollars. The advertisement features Justin Hawkins, the lead singer of the band and standout linebacker of the Chicago Bears, Brian Urlacher.

The ad starts with people waiting in a queue for what presumably is the launch of a brand new iDevice when suddenly one person points out at how long they have been waiting in queue while another spots a Galaxy Note and asks, “What is that?” From there on, things take a U-turn and soon every person is using the Galaxy Note to record movies, pictures and even take odd autograph from Brian Urlacher.
