Almost one year after the release of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, Samsung announced that they sold no less than 20 million units of the most popular Android smartphone ever released.
The number is not surprising considering that in the summer of last year the iPhone 4 smartphone was overlooked by many people, however when iPhone 4S was released no other smartphone mattered much.
Samsung needed 10 months to sell 20 million Samsung Galaxy S II smartphones and Apple needed only three months to sell approximately 33 million iPhone 4S smartphones.
We can say that we are impressed with the sales and popularity of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, which was the best smartphone on the market last summer.
This summer Samsung is planning to release the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone which will surely be just as popular and it will probably be better than the iPhone 4S from some point of views but it remains to be seen if it will attract as many fans as the S II did.
