Police Find Man Who Threatened to Kill Madonna after He Walks Away from Mental Hospital
Police in Los Angeles were asking the public to help them locate Robert Dewey Hoskins. He was convicted last year of threatening to murder pop icon, Madonna. Last week, Hoskins walked away from a mental hospital in Los Angeles. Today, police have him back inside the institution.
According to police, Hoskins is extremely violent and very psychotic. Authorities do not want anyone to approach him except for the police because they simply do not know what he might do. Hoskins was serving a ten year sentence for his conduct when it came to Madonna. He stalked her relentlessly and threatened her. He was convicted back in 1996. Madonna testified against Hoskins. He eventually had jumped over the fence around her home in Hollywood Hills. Madonna’s security guard shot him. Hoskins had told people close to Madonna that he would marry her or she would end up with her throat cut from ear to ear.
Hoskins was eventually found in Long Beach, California. That is actually where police expected to find him. The mental hospital is where Hoskins ended up after he was convicted of a vandalism charge in 2011. The court determined that Hoskins was simply not fit to stand trial and suffered from mental illness. Hoskins has been in and out of various mental institutions many times.
Madonna said that even being in the courtroom with Hoskins made her sick to her stomach. She said that she still has nightmares that Hoskins will someday manage to get close enough to hurt her.
Madonna just finished up with a fantastic halftime show at this year’s Super Bowl. She has a new record coming out and it’s already hit number on iTunes in 36 countries in terms of pre-orders. Her movie W.E. was met with mixed reviews; however, one of the songs on the soundtrack just won Madonna a Golden Globe.
