The MultiSync is a LCD monitor from NEC that is suitable for a multi LCD setup. The thing that will attract a lot of consumers to this monitor is its thin bezel, which is only 15mm. The thinner your bezel is, the better view you will get using multi monitor setup. However, thin bezel also comes at a high price and especially true for this screen, I do not think its high price is justified. However, the features of the screen do not end here, read on the review to find out what more it offers.

The 23 inches LCD monitor, the MultiSync, offers some great features. One of the first and most important features of a screen is its stand, and fortunately, you get yourself a stand that can easily be rotated or adjusted in height. A very well placed USB port on the top of the screen allows you to attach any webcam easily to the screen. The input ports are only limited to DisplayPort and DVI ports. If you wish to use an HDMI cable, you will need to get yourself a simple adapter.

Just like another screen I recently did a review for, NEC has included features to save power. The MultiSync features an ambient light detector that enables the screen to go into sleep mode if you are not sitting in front of it. The sensor also adjusts the screen brightness by reading the light density. The lesser the brightness is, the lesser the screen consume power. At maximum power, the screen only uses up 23W of power.

The major difference between the MultiSync and other similar screens is in the panel these use. This screen uses a PVA panel which is better in giving an overall output. The output colors and images were quite bright and saturated when I tested the screen in the review. However, the slow response time of the screen means that you won’t be able to do high end gaming with extremely good results. If you love photo editing, the screen should offer you accurate colors and contrast levels.
