Currently Microsoft is trying a new marketing strategy for Windows Phone entitled ” You Asked, We Listened”.
Windows Phone is far from making waves in the ranks of iOS or Android owners, but it’s nice to see that Microsoft is aware of the problems and is trying a new approach in marketing. The new advertisements, besides the fact that they are extremely aggressive, they have a great impact.
With a campaign entitled Smoked By Windows Phone, Microsoft will bomb many websites with videos with the help of which they will try to prove a remarkable performance of the new Windows Phone smartphones.
Although Windows does not have popularity problems, Windows Phone lacks popularity and only a “outside the box” thinking can save the mobile operating system from Microsoft.
Furthermore, the lawsuits filed by Microsoft against Flickr, and the fact that Joe Belfiore from Microsoft announced that iOS 5 borrowed elements from Widows Phone, these are all things “designed” to improve the popularity of the Windows Phone OS.
Personally, i don’t think that we are still living in a world governed by specifications of comparisons. Right now the smartphones market focuses on the popularity of a interface or on the number of available applications, not on test scores and performance.
