McAfee has launched a new mobile security software for smartphones and tablet devices. The software has a new feature that include McAfee app alert that tell the users what the application do with the personal information other than call and SMS filtering.
The executive vice president and general manager, consumer, mobile and small business at McAfee said, “It is increasingly clear that using a smartphone without security means any sensitive information, such as photos, bank account information or company data on that mobile device is at the risk of falling into wrong hands.”
In a scenario when large numbers of personal and business data are stored on mobile devices like phones, tablets, it is very important to combat mobile security threats. The McAfee Mobile Security let users to use their mobile with complete peace of mind as the devices remain safe from cyber threats. The application also has comprehensive anti virus, anti spyware as well as anti phising protection.
Mobile Security 2.0 is developed in such a way that it is compatible with BlackBerry, Android as well as Symbian devices. However, the app alert is only available for Android. It will definitely be a good news for Android platforms as it is causing grave security concern.
