This isn’t the first time it has happened that a man has been reported dead after playing video games. Video game craze is increasing all over the world as developers make increasingly attractive games that gets the users indulged for long hours in game play.
In Taiwan, the case of a man who died playing video games at an internet café has surfaced the news. What is disturbing about the man’s death is the fact that he was playing the game in a café and despite many people being around him playing their own game, they didn’t notice was dead. Police reported that people continued playing their games and didn’t realize they were sitting against a corpse.
The man who passed was 23 years of age and was playing games in an internet café located in New Taipei city last week on Tuesday night and was discovered to be dead. He was found dead but sitting on a chair with his hands elongated towards the gaming keyboard and mouse when he was discovered by a waitress. The waitress said that she saw the demised talking on the phone around the time of noon on Wednesday and the man’s body was straight up, sitting on the chair for about nine hours without any of the other 30 people in the café noticing.
Gaming is an extremely engaging hobby and mostly, gamers are lost in their own world. They don’t realize what is going on around them because they are so busy as the game also demands them to not look off the main monitor screen and keep playing. The police on the case investigated and found that the boy might have demised because of a cardiac arrest which was a consequence of low temperatures, which set it off and led to his death.
