Jennifer Aniston is not Enthusiastic about a Friends Reunion

The program has been done to death by Chanel 4 in the UK. Now there is a rather controversial proposal to get the cast of Friends back together for a film. One of the critics of such a scheme is Jennifer Aniston. In all probability she has moved on and does not want to go back to the old days when the goofy comedy held sway. She says that the idea does not make sense to her. There were also objections from Matt LeBlanc whose career has gone to the pits since his stint on the show. It seems that we are not likely to see Rachel Green again. For 10 years she was the darling of NBC but those times appear to be very outdated in the current climate of development.

Is this really the time to resurrect this old war horse?

When Friends ended, there was a kind of nostalgia which made us watch the repeats. Now after years of these repeats we do not think that it is a good idea to bring back the program. The cast has been quiet part from Jennifer Aniston and her romantic entanglements. The other problem is that the program was designed to be a sitcom and not a film. The producers would have to rework the storylines and ensure that they did not compress the themes too much otherwise the job would appear to be rushed. Generally speaking this is not a wise idea.

Jennifer Aniston is now 43 years of age and can no longer pretend to be some young thing that is looking for romance. Nevertheless she says that she still daydreams of what might have happened to her and Ross Gellar who was played by David Schwimmer. Those are the kinds of reminiscences that have driven the nostalgia surrounding the program. If they insist on doing a reunion then the magic might be destroyed on a permanent basis. That is not a good idea regardless of how you look at it.
