How To Uninstall Messages and Reinstall iChat in Mac OS X Lion
by

A few days ago Apple released a application named Messages which is available in Beta version and allows us to communicate with any Apple devices that runs the iMessage service.

The application replaces the old iChat however it keeps all it’s features but unfortunately it generates problems for many people.

Many users thought to uninstall the application and return to the old iChat, at least until Apple will build a Messages application that is 100% functional for everybody.

The uninstall process is very simple: simply open the Messages application and in the status bar click on Messages and then on Uninstall Messages beta and you will see the image below:

By pressing the Install button you will uninstall the Messages app and you will automatically install the iChat application.

In the mean time your Mac will restart to implement all modifications.

After restart you will see the iChat application is installed and working again on your Mac computer.
