In the last few months multiple Tweaks were released in Cydia, tweaks that can modify different aspects of your iOS but unfortunately some of them are not compatible with other tweaks or they load the RAM of our Apple Devices uselessly.
Many of the modifications made by these tweaks can be done by yourself right from your Apple device or by using a computer. Today we are going to show you how to change the slider text to unlock a Apple device and for this you will need one of the following applications:
1. iFile application from Cydia to make changes directly in any Apple device
2. iFunBox to make changes from a Windows computer
3. iExplorer to make changes from a Mac computer
After you choose the your solution, follow the steps below and at the end you can replace the Slide to Unlock text with whatever you want. The tutorial works on iOS 5 and older versions.
Go to System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lprok.
Open the SpringBoard.strings file on your Apple Device using the Text Viewer feature of the iFile. On Mac or PC you have to copy the file on the computer and open it with a text editor.
Search for the “Slide to Unlock” text which should be found near the AWAY_LOCK_LABL string. Modify Slide to Unlock with the text of your choice and you have to limit yourself to only three short words otherwise the text will not be displayed.
From iFile save the file. From your computer do the same thing and copy it back on your Apple device.
Do a respring and restart your Apple device and when it starts again the modification will be visible.
