There is some discussion as to whether Hanna Marin will be expelled following a nude photo scandal. All this drama is happening in Pretty Little Liars. The pair was summoned to the principal’s office after some rather embarrassing photographs were leaked on the 30th of January. It seems that the storyline is hot and they are adding some really interesting things for the people that are fans of the show.
Drama and reality in a fantasy program
Some people might argue that Pretty Little Liars is a study of escapism but at the same time one has to consider the fact that this is the formula that has worked for the entertainment industry so far. The mothers come in to support their daughters. Heather Mazur and Laura Leighton are really effective in this scene as the warring factions that are brought together by a common problem. Rosewood High makes it clear that they have a zero tolerance policy for bullying. Presumably sending a nude photograph would fall within the category of behavior which is considered to be unacceptable.

This is a program that you can watch with your teenage children without necessarily feeling too embarrassed about the whole thing. The storylines are compelling and relevant to a modern audience. Moreover the acting is quite impressive when compared to some of the drivel we get from reality television programs. That is why the show is highly recommended and the audience figures continue to sustain the themes.
