Google has extended the functionality of its Doc word processing application on Android powered devices while also improving Docs presentation app for desktop users.

The Android Docs word processing app has gained few collaboration functionality already has on desktop browsers including the capability to see changes made in real time as well as edit made by other users in the document said Google in the blog post.

The Android app interface has been enhanced also. Such as users can now “pinch” the screen of the device to zoom to a document or zoom-out for full-document view. App users will have access to rich-text formatting feature, that will allow them to do things like add several colors to the documents.

However, in a separate announcement Google said that it has included discussion threads to presentation app of the Docs suite. Discussion thread will allow users to post comments next to the slides, alert other users about discussion through email and close the loop on comments that are addressed. This same functionality is available for Docs word processing app.

Android word processing app improvements as well as the presentation app for the desktop browsers will be available to users who use Docs as stand-alone suite and to those individuals who use the same as a part of the broader Google Apps suite at work.
