David Beckham is Kicked out a Children’s Soccer Match

Having seen him earn the anger of the English fans during a World Cup match, one might have imagined that David Beckham had learnt his lesson. Instead it seems like the English footballer cannot control himself. Recently he was kicked out of a Children’s soccer match due to his failure to comply with the rules. Apparently he was disturbing the referee who finally lost his patience with the star. The game had been arranged for 7 year olds and we might have assumed that the adult in the room will be mature enough to let things take their course.

A star that sometimes loses control

Although the public persona of David Beckham appears to be dominated by his ambitious wife, there is an element of temper. When you press the right buttons, the normally docile footballer will break out.  His seven year old son was being reprimanded for some minor infraction and the star felt that he had to come in. The defense may have been chivalrous but at the end of the day this was not about the celebrity family but rather a bunch of kids.

Having been given the chance by Jonathan Ross, the famous footballer attempted to explain away his stance. Romeo’s club had been given a penalty which the footballer felt was rather unnecessary. The referee was incensed when Beckham told him that a kid could not be sent off and he gave the dad a red card. Perhaps this is a lesson in early discipline which will help the children to become better when they grow up. At a time when the English captain John Terry is facing charges of racism, this discipline appears to be an essential ingredient. Far too many footballers behave like louts and they have zero respect for the referee who is supposed to be controlling the game.
