We all remember Courtney Stodden because she was the teenage girl that scandalized the world by marrying a man that was nearly three times her age. Now she is back in the news channeling her Marilyn Monroe side. Of course we know that she is desperate to get into the good books of the celebrity set. Apparently her singing career needs all the help that she can get. At the same time she might want to wipe out the notoriety of her wedding which divided even the most liberal commentators. There was something really disturbing about the fact that her parents had agreed to the arrangement in the first place. Many people were of the view that such a marriage should never have been sanctioned.
Is Courtney Stodden moving on now?
Certainly the pose that she struck seemed oddly mature for a young girl. That has always been part of her personality and she had hoped that the public would excuse the marriage on the basis that she was mature for her age. Even now the idea of Courtney Stodden flashing underwear is distinctly uncomfortable. You just have to stop thinking that she is a little girl that needs to be protected from her much older husband. Everything was laid bare on Twitter where her followers know that she is never in short supply of provocative images. Nevertheless the Marilyn Monroe photoshoot was rather amateurish.
There is a wide selection of cheesy pieces including one where she is in the guise of a mermaid. Another one has her with the skivvies on the floor. It remains to be seen whether her 51 year old husband Doug Hutchinson approves of the shoot. He is in very bad books for marrying a seventeen year old girl. It is very hard not to be judgmental about the couple even as they continue with their lives.
