Channing Tatum’s new romance movie, “The Vow,” is due out Valentine’s Day weekend. It’s likely to have Tatum fans drooling as there is more than one gratuitous skin scene in the movie. Tatum said that he’s got no problem exposed his bare backside in the movie; however, he felt like one of the scenes with his shirt off was more than just a little “gratuitous.”
The scene has Tatum walking out to the curb to take the trash out. He’s eating a piece of pizza and he takes a moment to pet a cat. He doesn’t believe that going shirtless in that scene was really necessary. Even “The Vow’s” directory, Michael Sucsy, agrees with him. Sucsy said that scene was done in order to keep Tatum’s fans happy.
However, there’s another scene where he’s showing off his naked rear and Tatum has a different feeling about that shot. He said that it was a necessary shot that helps to explain the relationship between his character and Tatum’s on screen wife, played by Rachel McAdams. The movie focuses on this relationship after McAdams’ character loses her memory in a horrific automobile accident.
Jenna Dewan, Tatum’s real life wife, didn’t know there was a full moon in “The Vow” until after she saw the movie. She did say that she was surprised; however, it was a great scene that will likely be played again and again. It’s what happens when studly men decide to bare their bodies for the sake of “art.”
Women everywhere will undoubtedly enjoy Tatum’s next movie, too. It’s about a group of male strippers and is called “Magic Mike.” It’s highly likely that the film will be filled with a lot of hunky men, so fans might get to enjoy more than just the sight of Tatum’s rump again. Tatum reportedly said that he seriously doubts that it will be the last time he’s naked in a film.
For that, women everywhere will be grateful.
