Most computer and mobile devices users do not want to pay a lot of money for a program to edit videos and they do not want to learn to use professional editing solutions like Adobe Premiere, Apple Final Cut or Avid Studio.

Well, for these users, there are limited applications, easy to use like iMovie and Windows Movie Maker, who come included in operating systems or they are very cheap. What do you do when you let go of your laptop in favor of a tablet ? In the case of the iPad there is a limited offer and the best solution right now is iMovie.

Well, Avid, the leader on the professional video editing market, decided that it’s time to address regular consumers too, releasing a version of their video editing software for the iPad tablet from Apple.

The iOS application offers the same features as iMovie, offering a storyboard display mode, precise editing with the help of the touchscreen interface, transitions and special effects and audio editing on different channels, possibility of importing songs and sounds from the iTunes library.

Videos do not have to be recorded with the tablet, as the app offers support for adding new videos through the Camera Connection Kit. The end result can be exported in 480p, 540p or 720p and they can be uploaded on popular social networks like Facebook, YouTube, etc, directly from the application.

Probably the most important feature is compatibility with the features from the Avid professional video editing software.

The Avid video editing application is available in the AppStore at a price of $4,99.
