Almost three years have passed since Apple redesigned the applications store in iTunes and it seems that this year we are going to get some new changes.
Right now the iTunes redesign is a priority for Apple and engineers are mostly focused on making the interface simpler, by including better ways to search and discovery new applications and to increase interactivity.
Basically, Apple is trying to fix some of the problems many users complained about in time however it remains to be seen if Apple will manage to fix them all.
Right now many developers complain about the fact that they do not have methods to promote their applications no the App Store and this is also valid for books and music.
Apple wants to modify all their stores and if successful then iTunes will surely become easier to use.
The new interface will be available in a new version of the iTunes application for Mac and PC however at the moment it is unknown when this new version will be released.
Considering that iOS 5.1 and iPad 3 are about to be released it is very likely for the new design to be published in the near future however everything depends on how fast Apple manages to finish it.
